The Direction of the Showroom

The Direction of the Showroom

Design Consignment Gallery has always been shaped by more than what arrives.
What’s changing now is how clearly the space reflects that point of view.

Over the past year, the showroom has been moving with more intention toward pieces that hold their ground, visually and materially. Modern forms. Mid-century foundations. Objects with weight, history, or a story that doesn’t need explaining the moment you walk in.

This isn’t about chasing trends. It’s about choosing pieces that shape a room rather than disappear into it.

Modern. Mid-Century. Bold. Storied.

You’ll see more furniture and objects that feel deliberate.
Pieces that anchor a space. Materials that age well. Forms that still feel relevant decades later.

Not everything needs to be loud. But nothing should be forgettable.

Some pieces arrive with provenance. Others simply arrive with presence. Both matter.

A working direction

There’s a way of describing what’s happening here.

Mythic Modern isn’t a collection or a label. It’s a way of noticing when modern design carries narrative, when form feels permanent rather than temporary, when a piece feels contemporary but timeless at the same time.

You may have seen hints of it in recent From the Vault releases. Going forward, it becomes one of the threads that guides how the showroom is curated.

An evolving space

The showroom continues to shift as new pieces arrive and others move on.
If you’ve been thinking about refreshing a room, or simply want to see what’s taking shape, this is a good moment to visit.
