Easter Eggs at DCG

Easter Eggs at DCG

The Raven at 8840-B

Some stories arrive with the objects. Others begin between them.

Look closely around Design Consignment Gallery and certain details begin to surface.

A small frame changes the meaning of the cabinet beneath it. A book title becomes commentary. Two objects from different homes, eras and makers suddenly feel as though they were always meant to meet.

And, every so often, a raven appears.

Nearly everything inside DCG has already belonged somewhere else. Furniture, art, lighting, books and décor arrive carrying fragments of other rooms and other lives.

Then they enter new relationships—through line, material, color, history or something harder to name.

The showroom is the edit.
Every sale changes the sentence.

Some connections are placed deliberately. Others reveal themselves only after the pieces have shared the floor for a while. The Easter eggs live somewhere between the two: a strangely positioned book, an object facing across the room, a detail that rewards the second look.

The raven belongs to that world. It does not explain itself. Neither does the showroom.

Some stories arrive with the objects. Others originate between them.

The furniture is for sale. The evidence may not remain.
