Description
Titled Messenger, this original watercolor by Mirac Creepingbear (1947–1990) reflects the artist’s visionary style—an emotional blend of Native tradition and modern abstraction.
The central figure, rendered in soft washes of teal, ochre, and indigo, is shrouded by the wings of a soaring eagle—symbolizing protection, guidance, and ancestral presence. The piece is signed, floated on deckled-edge paper, and archivally mounted in a custom oak frame with deep green matting.
Creepingbear’s work is held in the permanent collection of the National Museum of the American Indian, and original pieces are increasingly rare to market. Provenance available. Framed dimensions: 28″ x 35″.
