Roy Fairchild-Woodard, born in 1953 in Surrey, England, finds inspiration in the tranquil surroundings of his country home and embarks on journeys throughout Europe, particularly Italy. His connection with Italy stems from the Renaissance painters, influencing his use of plaster as a base for acrylic and oil overpaints, reminiscent of frescos. The echoes of Egon Schiele and Gustave Klimpt add depth to his occasional reference of line and decoration.
With a degree in graphic design, Fairchild-Woodard initially worked under the name Woodard for commercial and decorative art, including serigraphs and lithographs. Eventually, he transitioned back to his family name, Fairchild, dedicating himself full time to his painting and printmaking.

The limited edition print, meticulously signed and numbered, is a testament to the artist’s commitment to his craft.
