Description
This dining set has the kind of presence that comes through better in person than in a flat product photo. The table has a glossy lacquer finish, a geometric veneer pattern across the top, and a clean pedestal base that keeps the footprint visually lighter than a traditional large dining table.
The six chairs are stamped Pietro Costantini / Made in Italy, giving the set a clear Italian design anchor. The table itself is not maker-stamped, so we are describing the set accurately as a lacquer extension dining table paired with six Pietro Costantini chairs.
The table measures 78″ long without the leaf and extends to approximately 96″ with the included leaf. Its width is approximately 42″ at the center and tapers to about 39″ toward the ends. The extension mechanism is visible underneath and functional, with the leaf allowing the set to shift from everyday dining to a larger hosting setup.
Condition is fantastic vintage condition overall. The top presents well with one small chip, minor edge wear, and light scuffing around the base/underside. The chairs are firm, clean, odor-free, and usable as shown. The floral upholstery adds a warm vintage note and could also be reupholstered by the next owner for a more contemporary look.
A strong option for someone who wants a distinctive Italian-influenced dining set with real scale, useful extension function, and a softer postmodern profile.
